US stocks climbed to further highs ahead of ECB meeting
FXStreet (San Francisco) - Wall Street closed Wednesday with gains as investors digested a set of upbeat economic data in the services sector but a weaker than expected ADP report.
Major indexes closed near highs of the day after erasing early losses. The S&P closed a new record high while the Nasdaq posted its first positive day in the last 4 sessions.
The Dow Jones advanced 15.19 points or 0.09% to finish at 16,737.53; the S&P 500 added 3.64 pts or 0.19% to 1,927.88; while the Nasdaq won 17.56 pts or 0.41% to close the day at 4,251.64.
