EUR/USD falls below 1.2100, ends the year on the back foot

The EUR/USD’s selloff extended to fresh cycle lows sub 1.2100 in thin trading on New Year’s Eve, putting the euro on track for a 12% annual decline.

NZD/USD continued to decline during the American session and printed a fresh daily low at 0.7791.
