US Equities point to a weak opening
FXStreet (Mumbai) - The US Equity futures are trading in the red ahead of the US opening, after having erased the gains tracking the drop in the European equities.
The DJIA December futures are trading 0.60% lower at 16,210.50, while the S&P December futures are trading 0.22% lower at 1876.95. Meanwhile, the Russell 2000 December futures are down 0.44%. The weakness in in the equity markets is also evident from the S&P 500 VIX futures which are trading 0.38% higher at 20.03 levels.
Moreover, the US stock futures declined as the IBM cut its earnings outlook. The IBM stock tanked 7.2 % in pre-market trading after the company abandoned its 2015 earnings goal. The company is struggling to cope with declining revenue and a broader shift to the cloud-computing era.
